Ah yes. If there’s one thing about the L Word that really bothers me (there’s actually a few things, but let’s focus on the one) It’s the show’s dismissal, marginalizing and downright making fun of any sexuality that deviates from the binary. This article is quite good at showing the many times that bisexuality is the punchline in a joke or is shown as “fake” or illegitimate over the course of the series. So sad, as the show had the potential to open up meaningful and useful conversations about non-binary sexuality.
